The UOSSM Saramada Community Isolation Center admits COVID-19 patients experiencing mild to moderate symptoms as part of the referral system. Patients will remain in the center until they test negative and will receive high quality medical care throughout their stay.
As of January 27, 2021, there were 20,965 total cases of the coronavirus in northwest Syria with 5 new cases in the past 24 hours, and a total of 380 deaths.

COVID-19 UPDATE: There are a total of 18,949 cases of COVID-19 in northwest Syria, with 175 new cases reported today. 260 people have died from the Coronavirus. UOSSM Community Treatment Centers accept patients experiencing COVID19 symptoms. A patient's vitals are taken along with a PCR test to confirm infection with the coronavirus. If confirmed positive, the patient is examined and is transferred to an isolation room and provided with the necessary care. #covidinsyria

The displaced population in northwest #Syria is one of the most vulnerable populations in the world. The number of COVID-19 cases has almost tripled in the past three weeks. As of October 26, 2020 there are 4281 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 21 deaths in northwest Syria. The numbers continue to rise. UOSSM is on the ground responding by establishing isolation centers, providing hygiene kits, which include masks and sanitizers, and distributing nutritious food, to help build immunity, training staff on handling the Coronavirus, and providing educational materials to the families in displacement camps on how to protect themselves from COVID-19. We continue to pray for everyone's safety and urge people to please wash your hands, wear masks and maintain social distancing when possible.
