It was an especially heartbreaking month as tens of thousands residents of the besieged area of Aleppo were evacuated leaving them internally displaced, UOSSM took the leading role in the evacuation process, UOSSM USA launched an emergency fundraising campaign to help provide immediate care to those who need it the most. September was a sad month where UOSSM lost five medical staff as they were killed in the line of duty. But UOSSM moved forward and continued with many activities and projects. The biggest story in July was the bombing of medical facilities throughout Syria, many were targeted more than once and put out of service. One of the highlights of the month was Dr. Monzer Yazji, President of UOSSM USA, along with other UOSSM delegates, signing a strategic agreement between UOSSM International and the Turkish Red Crescent.
